Peahi
Every few weeks in winter here on Maui we get a high surf advisory. For most of us kiters this is exciting news and an excellent reason to call in sick to work. Kanaha, or kite beach, is a great and reliable spot to catch some killer waves. For an even fewer adrenaline junkies these high surf advisories mean heading to the north shore, down the treacherous Hahana road, through the cane fields, to Peahi, more commonly known as Jaws.
It was my first time there and words cannot describe how powerful and beautiful it was
Of course you need the jet ski support here
It was so windy, I was hoping for some action by some kiters or windsurfers
But it was just some hard core surfers out
I got to catch a few good rides
It's crazy to see live
He almost had this one...
Ouch...
